  • Scientific Series

In the context of the function of the Political Philosophy Research Laboratory, it was considered necessary for a Scientific Series to be created from within a politically independent academic environment. The aim of this Scientific Series, an aim totally aligned with the Laboratory’s principle—that is, the transition from action to theory—, is to investigate and critically examine the socio-political reality. This principle is based on the assumption that events converse and interact with political philosophy. In other words, political thinking undertakes, with its own tools, the interpretation of the facts.

By gleaning texts referring to, inter alia, racism, conspiracy theories, fundamentalism, multiculturalism, lawlessness and democratic tolerance, etc., and through cooperation with other disciplines of the Humanities and social sciences, we focus on the establishment of dialectical interdisciplinarity. The Scientific Series will be hosting translations, commentaries and original articles, in accordance to the specific topic of each volume. This choice is justified by the desire to enrich the Greek bibliography, providing direct access to such texts.

The scientific validity of the project is guaranteed by the participation of specialist scientists and faculty members, as well as by the Laboratory Administration’s scientific guidance.
